Muffles, from the ones ive seen the packing gets blown and compressed into the ends of the can, top and bottom and so the central section has little packing round it, hence the increase in sound.
However, it takes a long time for that to occur, on my old curvey aprox 40,000 miles ish.

The packing definately goes somewhere.
What is the dribbling spastic who wrote this article on about? With any of the twin pipes for the 650 on the market the gas must turn a sharp 90 degree turn to go to the left can. I suppose the mongchild thinks this is good for flow.

I'm sure when I talke to Renegade exhausts about a milion years ago they claimed a tiny bit more power for the 2:2 system over the 2:1 they do. Not worth the extra cost and weight though, it was about 1bhp or something and the full 2:2 was around a grand I think.
Anyway if the pulses of a twin blow the packing to bits, how is making it a pair of singles going to help anything? The pulses will be more uneven than before. "OMG" my can is about the explode! Oh hang on, it hasn't. Classic, who the hell buys MCN any more anyway? |

The renegade air kit is good proof that renegade know less about tuning than my dog does.

They say not to use tank risers, then supply you an air filter that near touches the bottom of the tank. Totally strangling the engine.
