My aim is simply to complete in less than 4 hours. I'll be happy with 4h00m00s but 3h59 would be better. Pace today was on track for around 3h51. |

Re: The running thread!
Some cracking running going on here at the moment, well except for me that is.
The sheer demands on your body of marathon training are phenomenal, keep plugging away all and stay fit and healthy. |

Re: The running thread!
I hope that I can add to this...
I haven't posted here for a few weeks - nothing major to report. But I need to get better at prioritising my run. Today I would have gone out on the bike with the monthly RoSPA meet but the battery was knackered. So I went running instead. Did about 10 miles as follows: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/26387453 Best pace: 5.35min/mile!!! Where the buggery did that come from!!!!!!!!! Sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, iPod blasting, me out running - which if I'm brutally honest I would do over anything else - and I really did feel on top of the world. I'm sposed to be running in Liverpool Half on 28 March - it will be a struggle but I am going to do it |

Re: The running thread!
Woke up this mornng to glorious sunshine, and was very happy. I had my second 5 mile run for charity this morning and its was brilliant.
The route was a mixture of town roads and rural, very lovely. And the sun shone the whole time, but it was still very cold. I was pleased when i completed the 5 miles in 45 mins and 48 seconds. thats my best road run time for 5 miles so far. I cant wait now to do the 6 miles Sport Relief on 21st March.! |

Re: The running thread!
Going for a red wine recovery tonight!
It seems to work quite well, had a little on Friday, a few beers last night before the run and now red wine "relaxing" ! I tend to have 4-5 days off the booze during the week though. |
