No longer an Sv owner!
Well... the time has come to part with my sv, it was a bitter sweet decision but I have succumbed to calling of a Harley Davidson Sportster.
The sv was/is a great little bike and I've really enjoyed modding, repairing and improving it but now I'm the wrong side of 60 ... I just want to sit back, flat foot, and loaf along and the sportster fits that to a T. Thankyou to everyone that's helped, advised and guided me through the ups n downs of sv ownership and I hope I've managed to help few people on here too. So ... I wish you all fairwell and good luck with your future sv ownership and endeavours. Cheers all ... gadget. |

What Bibs said ^. There's at least one other HD rider on the org, and plenty of folks don't have SVs any more (I do though!).

I've got bits of an SV in a biscuit tin in the garage. Kept them just so I could stay on the forum

Re: No longer an Sv owner!
I've still got my SV specific tools, Abba stand adaptors etc. Which suggests I might have one again one day.

Re: No longer an Sv owner!
I appreciate what you're all saying but I'll probably never own another sv, I've had 56 bikes in my lifetime and no two have ever been the same so very much doubt I'll own another. All the spares n parts I had have been sold to the new owner and any bits n bobs i have left will get listed too. I very much doubt I'll be able to contribute any worth while info on the sv tbh as most of the work I had done to my sv was pretty much a piece of cake.
I'm on 4 other forums at present and they all take up most of my time so visiting this forum is going to be extremely rare. So ... I bid you all farewell, thanks to everyone for their advice/ suggestions while I owned my sv, it's been a pleasure. Cheers all n bike safe. |

Re: No longer an Sv owner!
Hmmm, I sold a Gen1 and was without an SV for a while, but my mind couldn't stand it, so now have a Gen2.
