we go for the coffee everytime, just invade the pub for parking, the new owners will soon get used to their carpark being taken over on tuesdays.

I honestly cant see someone having bought the pub without knowing about bike nights.

It would have shown up as a spike in profits on certain nights as well when they were looking at duediligence which would have been questioned.

They would also be crazy to turn away business in the current climate

Or they call the police and have life made very difficult. They have the right to refuse to serve anyone, sadly.

But how many other 'Biker' pubs have been taken over and the bikers made persona non grata. It's happening more and more frequently.

The police would love to have a real reason to stop the meets at BP, and the new pub owners complaining could well give them just that.

Thats kinda what I'm worried about...

Their main custom will be families with kids... this means cars which can be a pain to get through the bikes. That said I can quite honestly see me going to the pole with my lass and a friend, wandering round, chatting to people, gawpin at the bikes and grabbing a meal at the harvester before going home.. i like mc'donalds food but my waistline is rapidly expanding. if i'm gonna eat I might as well do it wholeheartedly!

I can't see how the Police can stop such an event.

Loads of Staffs Police are bikers themselves and go the event - honestly don't think the Police will ever stop. They will enforce the law and be present, but most bobbies there are Special Constables, I not seen many PC's.

I think the Council Licensing Dept will have some great stipulations on the license for Bassets Pole in terms of their objectives.

I love Bassetts, they do a nice curry sod Maccy D's that's for cheap skates LOL go in the pub and support them, give them the trade so they keep it going !!

Role on the sun!!!

Even when the police have turned up in the past, it's only to stop the stunting/show-boating that occasionally goes on at the side of the pub - they'd never stop the meets themselves, they wouldn't legally be able to!

If the pub said they didnt want it and wanted all the bike to move on......then the police could do something.

OK just spoke to the licensee - lovely bloke.

The pub company has changed hands not the licensee, he has been there 10 years and has NO intention of stopping the Tuesday meets. He is doing a special spit roast offer for bikers on Tuesdays and welcomes us all !!

There Tuesdays are still on !
