South West Wales is lovely, but a bit barren. Tenby was a good suggestion though. Personally I prefer the valleys more central in Wales, and up North it can be pretty special too. But I've just spent 4 days in Pembrokshire anyway, so do as I say, not as I do

Go here if you want a really good (non dole going) holiday in Wales. It's in Pembrokeshire, right next to Oakwood for the kids, although it has plenty to offer them on site. They actively encourage you to get out and about in Pembrokeshire. They have a spa, a blue lagoon and a snow dome (not sure if that's finished yet) so there's plenty for all the family.

It is a new luxury holiday park. Friends of mine went a few months back and loved it. They said it's way better than any centre parks or haven that they've been to and didn't mind paying a little more. They said the lodges are beautiful and really well built and equipped in keeping with their 5 star standard.

Worth a go methinks as I grew up going on holidays in Pembrokeshire and you have so many beautiful areas within easy reach!!

My dad still keeps a boat at Freshwater East and takes the caravan there every summer. I took Stretchie last year and showed him how fab it is!
