my nearest waitrose is over 20 miles away.

so I have to use the market stall other wise it is Asda's pitiful selection of chedder, chedder and chedder.

At least I can ask them to get me something at the local market for next time I go there

Not exactly a stinky blue cheese, but was always rather fond of swiping when we had it on the counters...

Cornish Yarg....mmmmmmm!

Or even have a go at Shepherds Purse cheeses I know they do a blue one...award winning too

Bleu d'Auvergne can be a tasty little number.

Ironbridge and Shifnal are much nicer places than Telford!!

+ another 1 for Shropshire Blue.

Whoa.......what a fab thread! Yep...Stinking Bishop is great, Blue Vinny is a fab cheese, I'll try and find a supplier that does mail order as I think it's hard to get outside the West Country.

Now.....if you want a really creamy, tasty delicious blue cheese, se if they have any St.Argur at the market or on the supermarket cheese counter. You can buy it prepacked, but if you get it cut from the deli, it's much better. It's got an amazing taste and really is super duper creamy with loads of veining.

Here's the website for paxton and whitfield, they have a shop in Bath that I LOVE! The Picos Blue is really nice and well......actually I've tried a few of these and they're all gorgeous!

I spent last night eating St.Argur off a spoon I love it that much.....I might just have to go and get some now....oh, and it goes really well with soft goats cheese on crackers!
