SV v CBR600?

found mine a bit dull... very soul less. very capable however.

beware on the 2001 models of camchain tensioner issues. mine went spang...

I would have one, if i could find a low enough milage one in yellow for the right price.

They are nice bikes, and being a honda really quite reliable. I wasn't aware of camchain tensioner issues though - are they just limited to 2001 models?

Sport models look better in my opinion, only ever ridden a restricted one and it felt soul-less whether that supports the full power one being soul less I don't know. Not really special as they're common as muck but I always thought that was for good reason.

as far as i can remember they all have cct issues, it is just particularly apparent on the 2001 models...

I had one as a lone bike for a couple of weeks. Custard sums it up well I think. Soul-less but capable. It is an upgrade from the SV though.

That's what I've heard as well.

The sport ones look cool imo


however the missus frowned when i showed her the seat.

Im going to take her to the nec and make her sit on everything till we find a suitable bike then

The CCT is the devils work on all of them.

So how do you spot this issue? And is it a major issue or just something thats going to rattle ala sv?

yup. sunds like washers rattling around a bolt that hasnt been done up properly, most noticeable up to about 4k i think it was.
