Wanted, a physical competition to enter this winter, preferably in Northern England.

Was gonna recommend Tough Guy but I see you've already done it. I'm thinking about entering for January 2011.

How did you find it?

I've done Tough Guy twice, once the summer one, with a shorter run and twice round the obstacle course, and once the winter one, a longer run and only once round the obstacle course. I enjoyed both, although the stinging nettles oon the summer were a killer after the event! The main thing you need is fitness for these, the winners tend to be fell running type people!

You mean you can go round it as many times as you want?

I was under the impression it was an eight mile run followed by the obstacles then that was it...

No the format for the number of times round the obstacle course is fixed, in the summer it's a shorter run and twice round the obstacle course (or it was when I did it) and the winter is the longer run but only once round (no doubt due to the temperature, cold water and full body submergence). However there is always the opportunity to enter "Last Man Standing" if you're super fit, as many times round the obstacle course without stopping (there may be a time limit) but this is way beyond me!

Oh right. Still won't be easy haha.

Wasn't it around winter last year when there was something going on in the Lakes and a laod of people got lost?
