On provision it's "as described" yes I've bought it, spoken to the owner and it has a few bits need looking at but nothing major and a few things better than I'd thought, but at under half my budget I can throw some £'s at it, already got it added to insurance and a train ticket booked to get down there tomorrow lunchtine, as it's got 11 months tax & test I'll be riding it home.

You'll like it - as discussed. I thought it was great.

Yeah the engine is yamaha and basically the same thing, although having ridden the XT and the pegaso, they aren't exactly the same, Aprilia have taken a bit of the low range torque and made it slightly better at the top end, it makes for a better road bike, but would detract from any off road use I suppose, not that the pegaso is aimed that way at all, unlike the XT.

Cheers Mark.

It's been raining all week Dave, you know what that menas....

Anyway, collected the bike today, as suspected it needs a little TLC, but mechanically it's faultless, done the trip home without any issues, the bike has covered under 250 miles in the last year and up until the start of last month hadn't moved for 10 months,on the downside a few of the bolts have a little rust on the edges, the plastics are a bit scratched and faded and water has got under some of the engine paint in places, the right rear footpeg is broken off, the chain & sprockets will need replacing sooner rather than later as will the rear tyre.

And the plus side, full service history, 11 months T&T, no mechanical issues at all, has the taller touring screen already fitted, the rear spring has been changed for a stiffer one (something I'd planned to do anyway, so a job saved), it came with a replacement rear footpeg that I'll fit, factory immobiliser, a better ride than the 2009 one I had out on thursday.

The guy was selling up and because of a new family; hadn't had time to ride the bike in the past year, so gave me loads of bits as well, so 3 meter heavy duty chain & lock, bike cover, brand new handguards and even an Aprilia jacket was thrown in as well.

I'll do a service just as a precaution, also a brake strip and clean, but it all works and runs fine, with a little effort and a dam good clean (it really is dirty, hasn't seen a wash in a long time) it should end looking fairly smart at the end of the day.

and how much all this Italian goodness you ask ? about a grand less than any others I'd seen.....£1,500...

Here's a few pics I grabbed when I got back.

Cheers Mark.
