Re: new Suzuki Katana
I've been sorting out my late Dad's stuff. Tucked away in the attic was a Katana, not the bike, the sword. It's a type 95 NCO Katana from the Kokura Arsenal, Suya sword shop. Apparently they were mass produced and are not particularly rare or valuable.
Looks like this one: https://www.gunstar.co.uk/suya-sword.../Blades/991380 only in worse condition. |

Apparently a Hyabusa is a Japanese bird of prey that likes to eat Blackbirds, presumably the Honda type, who said Japanese do not have a sense of humour ?

Re: new Suzuki Katana
Looks like the new katana is basically a gsx-s1000 with alternative tank, seat/sub frame and fairing...

Re: new Suzuki Katana
I think Honda were trying to allude to the SR-71 rather than the feathery flappy thing.
The SR-71 was a beast of a thing, send a ballistic missile after it and all the pilot needs to do is open the taps and accelerate away. |

Re: new Suzuki Katana
Another teaser from a couple days back showing the tank, which looks very very much like the concept bike we've seen before:
More video of the concept bike:
