R&G? Not Impressed!

yea I think that is fitted as if there were lowers on the bike...

IMHO it was R&G that have made a mistake. We have kits in for the silver frame and the black frame bikes and both are the same cost, although on one or two occasions R&G have sent us the wrong kit.


TBH i have always raced with R&G's and so far they have saved alot of damage..good product - although they cant save everything and those that have said they are no good possibly would have suffered the same damage with another make

Is there no chance of simply spraying the blocks matt black with a tin of PJP or similar?

When somebody phones us and says he has bought a bike with silver blocks on it and he wants them black, we levy a charge of £20 for this anodising service, as we will of course use his blocks and not new ones off the shelf.
We don't employ any telephone monkeys, just real people who want to help.

Looks like your dealer may have cocked up and not ordered the black blocks.

I've had a few problems with R&G products in the past but their customer service has always been great.

My dealer's spoken to R&G and has ordered a pair with black blocks. The lady he spoke to said they've only recently started doing them. He'll swap mine over at the 1st service next week

It would seem that the dealer was unaware that black blocks were available for SVs now.

PS. Why do they not have a different product code for the SV1000 crash protectors with black blocks? Seems like that could help the situation rather than relying on someone making a note to send black blocks.

I would put money on the fact that your dealer is trying to cover himself, I'm willing to bet that R&G have been offering the black blocks since the black frame appeared.

is anyone going to point out that those bungs are also fitted incorrectly?

As others have pointed out, curium's bike is a 1000, and the blocks are not the same between the 650 and the 1000. As I understand it, curium has them mounted correctly.
