I think you are getting confused over the two threads (we have both replied to a few of the same tyre threads in the past couple of weeks) ...

In the other thread we were talking about tyres used on the road (can't even remember if it was a digression or the actual topic now EDIT: {digs a bit} here we go) ... which is where my road experience's with 207s (perhaps 207GPs when you got 4nal about the designator ... but to be fair the exact variant DOES make a significant difference to what we are talking about so a fair cop ... it was just me being a bit lax with exact designator and just saying 208/207s) came in.

This thread only 208GPs (and what turn out to now be called 'qualifiers') have been discussed/suggested by me as I realised it was for track use only and where I used my track (race) experience of the old Dunlop range!!
