Where are you measuring the drop, and are you doing a direct comparison. Remember spring preload + rate could affect the measured height too.
Also what are you making these bars out of?

my k5 has as standard 143mm, is there a differance from mk 1 to mk 2 ? i will look back on the other posted on bones as one of the sv ers on here said his was 170 and it drop down by 40mm which is total bollicks, as i said i done my at 165 and it drop it to 60 odd mm, thxs reb

Maybe it's not total bollicks though, since you're dropping the back you're putting mroe weight onto it and changing how the linkage works. Are you measuring uncompressed length because this is only "pure" measurement.

hi it was made from steel not alloy, spring preload is factory set, but what i have done now is orderd a set of 25mm drops from bandit rob on ebay as he is discribing high grade steel, and his feed back is very high, thxs fred

on reading some inputs on dog bones on site,,, and how strong are thay, when i got my ones from ebay ( bandit rob) i ask him how good are they, the reply was ~~~~~~~~~
Hi I can assure you there is no problem with the strength. A lot of people on forums etc don't know what they are talking about. Our kits have been independently tested against original Suzuki ones and ours came out a lot stronger, we have certificates to prove it so there is no chance of them breaking. But there were/are ones out there that did fail, I am not saying Rob's did, but there was a seller out there that sold dodgy ones!

I would be interested to know the yield stress of the stock dogbones material, also overall yield load.
