I dont see how the FI Internal kit makes any difference, its still removable so you could in theory still swap that on and off, just takes a bit longer.
+5,000,000 - As soon as my renewal is due in September I will be change insurers and will go elsewhere where people aren't so stupid. Then over the spring next year Lily can use my bike as much as she wants to get practice ready for the end of her restriction during next summer.

Just thinking about it, on a pointy isn't the ECU change the official Suzuki method of restriction? As Express are the providers of Suzuki's insurance scheme, you thought they'd have accepted that as a suitable method!

But who is it getting married? You, or your parents?

Its not express with the issue though, they are only the agent, its Equity Red Star the underwriter who are the ones causing the agro.

I don't think it would be worth the time and the effort arguing the toss with them to be honest Drew, but it might be worth just mentioning that you will be complaining to Suzuki that after you spent £XXX on their official restricted ECU so Lily could ride the bike, "Suzuki Insurance" wouldn't accept it as a valid method of restriction!

I accept there are other issues involved, but Suzuki might not see it that way if their partner is refusing to insure their customer's bikes for such a reason and Express might realise that too...

One reason that me & my gf have no plans to marry...... not that I'd envisage any issues with parents as they'd happily just let us do what we wanted without any interfering.

Very nice. Ah turning to the dark side. Look better in a nice blue and white toothpaste colour scheme though
