I'm sure you could get this one bored out maybe to a 700 or 750 without any other major mods. Probably about £150 for engine install but that's a bit of a wild guess. I'd be tempted to attempt it myself unless time is money...

Look at the corrosion on that mind you seems its been sat or something as its not got much mileage on it at all.

My engine was £300 after YC took the JHS cams out if it, but that particular one was off a very very reliable SV off here.

what would you rather have an engine that you know has been perfectly looked after since new, never been dropped running, never been down the road, all services accounted for on the dot. Ridden properly, not wheelied ever and kept in the house. One that has similar mileage to your clocks, from a trusted member of the org delivered in a car, to your door with great care from further darn sarf.......
Fitted by YC too for a pittance
.......or a completely blind sale on ebay. I think I'd pay the price for piece of mind

Should be a good runner, atleast you got someone who knows their **** from their elbow to fit it...that would be my pitfall

I wasn't saying you got ripped off. I just meant I'd die before parting with that much cash!

lol, I'd already had the heart attack after spending all the brass in the first place on the rest of the rebuild. I wasn't intending on buying a new engine, but after a chat over a lot of tea and biscuits me and YC came to a good conclusion, buy it or blow up! The original head swap and new gasket (which decided to leak) hadn't done the job so it was the only alternative to save my beloved yellow SV. I wasn't giving up without a fight at that stage.......then I eventually blew my own gasket when she repaid my kindness by repeatedly blowing electrics in a carpark full of 'hardly driveable riders'

I've still got Suzys original heart under the stairs, and eventually when me and Im Indoors get the space to perform open heart surgery, we'll have a gander and see what she was whingeing at! I couldn't bare to aprt with her lump!
