I would be surprised to see a displacement change.

The competitors are not really that competitive (the kwak 650 and the hyosung are slower and only once have I seem the kwak rated better than the SV), and it might mess up the racing program that is currently successful.

Upside down forks - er, maybe - they could do this on the price point as that hyosung model, and while they would be no better than we have now it would "look nicer".

Maybe they will just drop the bike from EU3 compliant countries.

Saw in MCN yesterday that the SV1000 is completely unchanged for 2007.

unfortunatly MCN got that info from the global suzuki site. As the bike isnt EU3 compliant it isnt on the model list for the UK next year.

I'm still well curious about the dual-spark v-stroms... Seems weird that they're out in the states, but I remember you saying that the euro K7 is single spark.

I heard rumours on MCN that 2007 is being postponed indefinately, 2008 will follow 2006 late October-ish, followed at some point very briefly by 2007, two months max. And then we are pushing straight on into 2010 once the framework is in place.

The whole 2000s are getting long in the tooth, and New Labour is putting its foot down on this one.
