![]() I think this sums it up spot on. Quote:
![]() Yes motorcycle racing requires strength as it does being nippy and light, something that women are quite capable of as well! ![]() |

Anna, come off it, i've never seen a Feminist who isn't some kinda strange weirdo person, who never listens to reason, only what they want to say, and everyone else is wrong. Women are undervalued blah blah..... Maybe in their lifes sure (hence why they are doing this for the "greater good of women"), but you don't hear those who are actually doing the jobs moaning about it. Feminists don't understand different people enjoy different things. Women don't HAVE to get into porn for example, but if they want to, they do it. Feminists go mental about it.... Why, none of their business what those or any women does.
Being nippy and light only helps if you have the strength. So whilst your 50kg frame maybe able to corner a bike at the apex 2-3mph faster, could your actual frame as a women be able to cope with stopping from 200mph lap after lap after lap? Can you honestly say you know of any women with half the skillset to be able to push the brakes just that little bit more to gain that place????? Its physical strength, and whilst I agree theres no reason why a lady couldn't improve these areas of strength, I personnally don't think they could cut it at the very top level in bike racing..... Car racing, much easier, less movements. Fingers and toes. But as of yet there are no women who could compete at the top level, nor a few levels below it. Im not being degrading to women, im mearly stating my own opinion fact. Just like its simple fact that men run faster than women, men are stronger than women etc..... Sure there are cases which would prove this wrong, but generally, on the whole, there is no way you can admit otherwise...... i.e, bench press record for a lady? And for a man? 100m Sprint record? 800m sprint record? Etc etc etc..... As said, before all the women hippies start complaining, i'd LIKE to see more women in motorsport, but we need a few more generations, ladies building the right muscles and working on the mental constraints (ironically i think women would find this part easier) to compete at the very top. Flame and whinge all you want, thats what I think, and haven't been dis-proved yet... |

As I said this is a huge generalisation. Without the Feminist movement there is a lot that wouldnt have changed for women, i.e.; voting, abortion rights etc. I am sure you have heard it all before but it is recent history 60 years since these things changed. I would say that Grid girls, or girls in mags arenīt degrading or in any way against what the feminist movement stands for. Quote:
So take Rossi... his light frame of 78KG is SO much heavier and able to cope then a lighter 50Kg frame with muscle built on top? As said before there are much more likely reasons for females not being in the top leagues, nothing to do with talent. Quote:

There was a woman in 125 GP's a few years back.
Sammi Tasker is racing up here in the 125's in Scotland. Anita Buxton, Maria Costello, etc race at NW200 and Isle of Man. I remember a couple of years ago there was an all female team at Le Mans 24. But...many, many years ago (1982? maybe) when women racing was almost non-existant (maybe Hilary Musson was racing the TT back then?) I remember being down at the Bol d'Or at Paul Ricard and reading in the programme there was a woman racing in one of the teams! Oh! the excitement! Practically unheard of! Then I saw her. An ex-man from Holland. Six foot, strapping he-she! .....so disappointed! |
