My bike started handleing like a pregnant donkey a few months back.
Turned out to be tyre preassure

Thanks for the further advice guys, much appreciated .

I'm putting a new shock and fork springs in soon and will see if that solves it, I suspect it will as this morning (very, very cold!) bike felt a little better, so I'm thinking maybe the damping has completely gone in my shock and forks and the cold weather caused the damping to firm up a little, making the bike feel a touch better. Also, I had a little 'bounce' on my seat today to see how the rear shock reacted. I bumped down hard, the shock compressed, but then didnt return at all it just kinda slumped and stayed there, so I'm thinking its utterly dead!
