Makes sense, get a K3 that's spat a rod or something, nick cams, sell off alternator, sidecovers, etc etc. Is not hard to break even.

BMC RS recieved in the post today ! £53 + del + VAT from JHS. All sorted. I'll be fitting it tonight. Then spending the next few nights deciding on jetting. Anybody got any ideas with a micron system and a 8" stubby end can ? I'm thinking 165 mikunis ? I ran 152.5 mikunis with a de-snorkeled BMC road and it was a little lean.

I'm on almost exactly the same setup. 165s for me with some tank raisers too.

sorry Chris, forgot to mention I'm running tank risers too 20mm ones... de-foamed tank also. And 2 degree of advance on ignition pick up. Erm.... I think that's all engine wise.

Chris have you ever had an A/F meter up your pipe on a dyno with this set up ?
I'm thinking if yours is close then mine should be too, maybe not exactly but close enough.
Do you know what power it makes ?

Sort of. It was slightly lean with 162.5s. 165s have eliminated the slight stumble.
