It happened to the 216SLi I bought my ex new in '97, she ended up scrapping the car because of it earlier this year. It needed a complete new engine and radiator, but the cost outweighed what it was worth. Shame because it was a really good car until that happened.

There are usually warning signs for K-series HGF. Presumably these were not evident in this case and she had a total failure?

Well people seem to be posting car history to some extent.....so heres mine.....
My Chav 306 (I had a 205 1.2 before this) that I spent a fortune on.....live and learn ![]() ![]() My 205 1.9 gti fun/project car that never really came to anything ![]() My stupidly clean concourse 106 rallye ![]() My Slaguna that I managed to clean up to a similar kind of condition.....then it broke and I lost interest in it......when it broke the turbo and engine completely knackered, but as the turbo wasnt working it returned some good MPG ![]() ![]() Finally one of the work cars I destroyed hitting a deer.....The only picture I have of it as its such a naff car I have never wanted any other pics of it lol ![]()

Its a fake rallye....
only difference between that and the saxo VTR is errrrrrrrr...... shock absorbers, and a limited run. This is a real rallye, and even this- I concede, is 2nd play to the mighty european 205 rallye! edit, - this was mine, bought it chaved, and eventually put it back to standard. alloys to steels Fog lights (perminant feed) to Grilles Windows.. never did tget round to ![]() ![]() |
