With the lining in the textiles were extremely uncomfortable in the hot humid weather. So out they came and it was such a relief. Stuck them back in as we headed up the mountains and the weather turned cold, foggy and rainy.

The Swartberg Pass.
John and I chickened out of doing this on the bikes. Sebastian really wanted to do it but not on his own. So we all went up in the car for a sundowner. It was absolutely amazing and I was glad I was in the car. So many hairpin bends and very little room for error.

It all looks amazing, what scenery. I'd love to do something similar one day-what sort of mileage did you do on the bikes daily?

On average we did about 230 miles a day. The most was on a couple of days when we did just shy of 300 miles. There were a couple of rest days too scheduled into the tour so we could recover.
