As for insuring the S... still haven't had a lot of luck. Who would think 3 piddly points would make that much difference???

I have just spent an hour this morning finalising quotes, and I am even more confused

I used 4 online services and got a variety of quotes between £870 and £119

I used exactly the same criteria ie.Fully Comp. 6000 miles per annum, HGV Driver. £350 excess and 2 years NCB. Value £3000 with £500 extras

I answered every question I was asked honestly :P honestly

3 Quotes were from the same company Equity Red or something, but they varied at least 200 quid

Apart from trying Carole Nash I probably cannot beat £119.

By the way that was from Bennets with free puncture cover and the excess is only £250

I dunno, I got TPFT for a notch over £300. No ncb, new rider, garaged & immobilised.

In the end I went back to Motorcycles Direct. Once they heard of the quote I got from CIA, they dropped the quote to £352 (TPFT) and that includes being kept on the road. I don't think its too bad as its being stored on the road, no immobilser, no No Claims Bonus an 3 points on my licence.

All the others were around the £400+ mark.
