Dunno...any place that serves a good meal and a pint or four and has the ability to accommodate more than six people around a table at any given time? What about a pub like the harvester or something near chelmsford? I dont know the pubs in the area otherwise I would make a suggestion. I just dont see the point of us all having a meal sitting at different tables...thats all

There is the one at the roundabout at Boreham, plus it has accommodation for those that want to have a drink with their partner and not have to worry about getting home, but you may be a bit late in booking Try checking Premier or Travelodge and see if anything useful comes up,as they both have dining facilities

Mz. P...the above was just a thought after our last meal together. I'm sure we could try and agree something with the staff at the barge.
And just confirming as well, Me plus driver I mean wife

You've got a good point, but I don't know anywhere with potentially bigger table setups. I don't get out in Essex much...

Unless the Shaw Farm (SWF) can do us.. it's a carvery. Although I'm not too sure how great the veggie menu is if we've got any...

Has it been duly noted? I'm not too sure how many veggies( ) we have but the carveries normally cater with nut loaves and the like anyway...
As for getting out in essex? I dont either Perhaps the likes of DT or N2R who are more outwardly mobile could come up with another suggestion if the barge cannot fulfil our requirements

Had words with the management at the Barge and they will probably do a VERY large table capable of seating 12+in one half of the public bar

Add Pegasus Pete and Babs to the list

Would be very helpful if I could have the exact numbers by Monday as I have to speak to the governor then

For information Xmas Dinner is on the menu then in addition to the standard menu so if you fancy a bit of Xmas Fare could you bung up a post as it will have to be ordered

Sorry if I'm stealing anybody's thunder but time was marching on, so as this was near to the original plan I've gone ahead and booked it.

ANY MORE LATE COMERS? SHOUT UP NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE
