I thought it best to join a group, so I have backup when I get attacked by hikers

But seeing as this is all new to me thought it best to consult the experts. Cumbria does seem to have the right mentality, bikers are users too and they seem to genuinely want you to have fun and come again. so why shouldnt they make the information readily available?

Im waiting to see how I get on with the Yam on the road before deciding, if I get sick of it being just a 125 i'll forego the 60 mile ride there and throw it on the back of the trailer

After much **** taking aimed in Speedplay's direction, I'm seriously considering a towbar and three bike trailer, so Wales, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are within reach on a day trip.

Ghey...

You'll be looking at a caravan next and will be a proper pikey....

Just for the record, I still proud to have never owned a trailer...

I'd still ride to Midlands trails Phil, don't worry

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to set off for Wales early morning, be on the trails by 10am, do 6 hours of riding, and be home again for tea?

4 hours or motorway riding and 6 hours of trail riding? Feck that. Unless you have a trailer Wales has to be an overnight trip.

BTW, I already have access to a very nice caravan, and despite protestations from my mother and my sister that it's great and I should get a towbar, I point blank refuse to tow a plastic house along behind me at 60mph, that has less interior space than a mid-sized tent. Luckily I've told them that my car won't tow it because it's only a 1.8 engine, and they believed it, so I'm safe to get a towbar fitted without getting my ear chewed off.

My car is fully expensed by work though. I'd did cross my mind tonight though, wonder if they'd let me have a van instead?

I could certainly have a people carrier.
