Ant,
Did you break anything on AR or does that not count as a crash, was that just parking with style>?

As you're obviously concerned about the glove Claire send an E-mail/ letter to RST outlining your concerns, they may or may not respond but at least you will have cleared your conscience. The only thing I will say is no glove will be perfect in every scenario and they are made with the most likely needed protection, ie, probably slide resistance and most commom impacts. You have absolutely nothing to lose by sending the above and may get a reasonable response to your concerns. Just ignore certain individuals who can't read the original thread properly and go off on their holier than thou attitudes and do what you feel is best. Hope the recovery of the hands goes well.

Daryl.

Not always

I`m sure a lot of riders have crashed at 10/15mph and not broken anything.... especially when you don`t actually make contact with another object ie. vehicle/wall etc.

It's not usually coming off the bike that hurts you, it's what you hit after you've come off

Miss Speedy

I wanted to add that despite how some have responded to this thread it will do no harm for you to write to them and raise your concerns, I think it may be put down to a freak accident as most people separate from their bike during an accident.

It is clear that the fact that these gloves have such an extensive rock hard protector that they did more damage than good in this unique instance, I prefer little hard amour as possible for these reasons.

I hope you get a good response from RST and your man heals well

All the best

alex
