The stopping distance is not increased for wet conditions.....and infact you have to stop in a shorter distance in the wet than even the highway code recommends.

Buy a bike with ABS, problem solved. I love the ABS on my Versys, it's saved me from dropping the bike about 4 times now, which means I can ride like an even bigger tw4t and still stay upright... it rocks
