My funny thought for the day :-

Pull up to the pump, fill up, go to pay, get asked to remove helmet, remove helmet unveiling burkha beneath, pay money, replace helmet, ride off...

woudnt this be a great sketch.

P.S I personally dont care either way, If I get asked to remove helmet i will, Water ducks back etc.

Only one place has asked me to remove my helmet. I left without putting fuel in. The nozzle dropped on the floor. Silly cow had to leave her little box to replace it. Next time I went back I asked why I had to remove my lid.

Because that is what they did at the last place she worked at, no policy requiring it.

As for pay at pump. My local Asda has 4 such pumps. However my debit card only works in 3 of them despite telling the cashiers several times. The faulty one does accept my credit card. Same with my daughters debit card it just will not work in that one pump.

Where would you stand with flip-front helmets like mine, they don't conceal your face from CCTV and I have never ever been asked to remove my helmet despite signs asking you to at some petrol stations.

If your Visa Debit card replaces a Solo card (and begins with the numbers 4751 27 or 4751 2 this cannot be used in unattended Point of Sale terminals. This card type can only be used at a retailer or supplier of services where they can authorise the transaction with us at the time of the transaction being made and self-service terminals, such as those on trains or at petrol pumps, cannot perform such an authorisation.
What a pain. Saying that, i opened an entirely new account, that didn't work either grrrr. after some research its pretty complex, i doubt customer service will have a clue

I always take my helmet partly off (to the top of my face) and take my gloves off in view of the cashier. Never had a problem doing it that way.
