Re: insurance question
I'm no insurance expert but
1 - I'm 99% sure you have to be Fully Comp to entitle you to 'ride' other bikes, and even then you will be Third Party Only on those other bike. 2 - As far as I'm aware Bike insurance that allows you to ride other bikes Third Party Only will not allow you to drive cars. As car insurance does not allow you to ride bikes etc. 3 - Insurance companies only offer it if your over 25 I have found on bikes. |

Re: insurance question
on my last insurance i was only TPFT but i could ride other bikes that i did not own with the owner permission TP. I was 22 then.
I was really hopping that I would be able to get a car TP on that, becasue it would make life so much easier as i dont own a car but 3 of my housemates do! |

Re: insurance question
h&r insurance might be able to set something up like that, i get stuff from them about being able to put your bike on your home contents insurance while you lay it up for winter, but as a general rule i very much doubt you'll get a company willing to insure you for car use on a motorcycle policy, especially TPFT

I will see the costs of going to Fully comp if they would throw that in. As im 23 now there might be a larger price drop? or so ive been told? |

1 - I'm 100% sure that with some companies, if you're TFPT on your bike, you can ride other bikes TPO. 2 - I'd agree, you won't find a bike policy that allows car usage, as it's a different vehicle type. 3 - I'm 24. Now see #1. FWIW, AutoNet insurance were the ones I was with TPFT on the SV. It's them that I'm now with Fully Comp. I get 60 days free Euro cover too now that I'm fully comp. |
