Default Replacement Regulator Wiring

I've bitten the bullet and am going to fit a Hon*da regulator - thoughly P'd off with the Suzuki ones!

To get things right where do the wires go to.

I assume that the 3 yellows are the feed from generator doesnt matter which goes where

Where do the others go?

Cheers

Yes, the three yellows are the alternator windings, and as you say can go in any combination.
What other wires are there? With Hondas there's often red, black and green or some combination of those.

Hi Sid

I was hoping you'd come along and respond and to be honest this was a bit of a pre-emptive strike!

I've put a bid in for a Honda CBR 900 RR2 02 Fireblade Rectifier/Regulator on ebay and wanted to get everything understood so that I can fit it as soon as it lands with me.

If you can't help until I cna confirm the other colours, and I'll come back here once I get my hands on it.

Thanks

Tris

In true Sid fashion - If you do a search under his name and reg/rec or similar the answer should appear. I put a honda one on my bike with no problems. I'll check my PM's too jsut incase he told me how to do it by PM.

Sort of yeah. I'm not 100% sure but two wires had to be joined into one, I think there are two postives or something like that.Sid talked me through it and all worked out OK. Problem is I can't find the PM he sent me! I did it about two years ago and all seems fine (crossed fingers!)

Only took about 30 mins to take old off and put new one on. Even the mountingholes were in the right place
