Default Hazards on a Curvy

Hi

I am doing some wiring on my bike, fitting cigar socket / autocom, and was wondering if it was worth while somehow installing a hazard flasher switch.

Has anyone done this? Is it a good idea? Do you think it would be quite easy to do?

Cheers,

a1istair

Never had the need or feeling too but it can be done, rig it up to a toggle switch.

Never done it (I made the right choice & own a pointy). But it should be pretty easy.

In theory (from a quick look at the wiring diagram)...

There are 3 wires in the indicator switch. One comes from the relay to control timing (on-off cycles), the other two go to the indicators. So the thinking is that you just connect BOTH these two wires to the one that comes from the relay (using a switch).

Heypresto, hazard lights.

Yup but have to use a 4 contact switch or some diodes, otherwise it will become a path for current and using indicators normally will make all 4 flash.

Just a bog standard DPST (such as a Dual on-off) switch will prevent that. That way, the indicators are only joined to the relay when the switch is in the 'on' state.
