Default New Tyres?

Can someone give me a quick rundown on tyre choices for a SV650 K5

I'm not going to be doing loads of miles a year so I don't need super hardwearing ones, probably a bit more sporty.

I've read quite a few good reviews on Conti Road Attacks so I went out and I just bought some from these guys on the bay and this is the size you need

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=022

Will let you know how they are once I've got them and fitted them but the price is right and they are really fair on the postage.

A good sports touring tyre is all the SV needs on the road, they can cope with over 100bhp bikes with no problem.

Yep, I agree with DD. Though it's not all about power of course, a TT 125 doesn't make 100bhp but they don't use sport touring tyres

For road use, really sticky tyres are just madness, in most people's cases they won't even get them up to temperature so they end up not even being as sticky as they should be. There's a definate argument for middle-of-the-road tyres like a Sportec or similiar, for the low-miler, though. Especially if you fancy trackdays or similiar, if you only do 3000 miles a year or whatever then it's not such a big deal.

I put Z6's on my GSXR for the Ecosse weekend, bike felt better on those than it did on the Diablo Corsa III I had on it before.

Essential rubber service a lot of the London couriers, so have a genuine idea of milage you can expect out of various tryes. They get a lot of feedback in a very short space of time which can be a big help
