Default Your best .org moment

Inspired by the "nice things" thread- what's been your defining .org moment? (you may choose a runner up)

For me... the Glencoe Massacre this year, specifically the bit on the friday evening, when just the locals had turned up and there were only about 8 of us there, and the weather was looking bad... Getting a wee bit nervous... Then, I hear some bikes. Then some more bikes. Then suddenly the entire southern ride-in came down the road en-masse, absolutely beautiful sight, I must have looked like an idiot with the big grin on my face just thinking "I did this". Not just an .org highlight that. The whole weekend was great but that one moment was just something else. Then Fizzwheel pulled up and produced my long-lost AR08 disco glass from his tankbag

(runner up was AR07, the rideout was OK but the ****-up in the rain was AWESOME, totally unforgettable. I've still never worked out how I got all that mud inside my waterproofs. All the ARs have been good but AR07 was a perfect storm)

Sitting on my front drive with my bike in pieces and me in pieces as I can't fix it, so I post the question on here and within seconds several .org members offering invaluable help. Bike was fixed within half an hour and I was well chuffed!
So much knowledge on this forum its incredible.

Watching the lights of the bikes winding up Honister Pass on last year's Hardy Bikers ride, like a bunch of red fireflies winding up the mountain. BluePete has a picture, magic.

I think mine is obvious. After my near fatal in 2004, the mind boggling generosity of all the .org members at the time. They helped not just me, but my whole family. I will never ever be able to thank everyone enough. They helped us overcome so much. The accident, the loss of income, the shock, the donated parts from so many people to get my bike back on the road. The talks and chats and help and advice not just for me but for Jo as well. The extra special friends that did so much for us.

The people that worked on my bike and put it back together. The person that took me for my first rider afterwards. The person that came from so far at a drop of a hat and looked after Jo so well during those dodgy first few days in hospital. The person that continuously looked out for me and my family even after the accident and still looks out for us now.

So that whole period is the most defining .org moment for me.

My brother did that for me when I did my hip, that was a much needed boost... OK, that might be my other runner up
