awhile ago the minimum payed holidays for work was changed from 15 days to 21 days
now last year when the law came into swing my company took bank holidays out of it and a few days for Christmas shut down and i ended up with only 15 days again this year they are doing the same, is that within the law? |

Yes.
On the plus side, the holiday entitlement is going up again in April to 5.6 weeks (28 days if you work a 5 day week), so you should be getting some more days anyway. Last edited by rigor; 09-01-09 at 11:20 PM. |

Does you holiday entitlement start on the 1st Jan?
If it does then ... IN TOTAL, you should be getting 27 days this year. Since the new entitlement only starts in April. minus the 8 bank holidays = 19 days minus, I guess the 3 days for xmas shutdown = 16 So they may be doing you out of 1 day (by my figures, based on guesses) NEXT YEAR you should be getting at least 28-8-3 = 17 days (Holiday - Bank Holidays - xmas) |

Do you work a full 5 day week? Not on a day release or anything?
