Pop down south and i'll help you

To undo the filter turn the filter ANTI-CLOCKWISE (As you look at the filter straight on. Nothing is in the way. The wrench should only be used to break the seal, then it should unscrew by hand. (If done properly, then you should be able to undo it by hand without a filter wrench)

There is seal / o-ring in the oil filter that presses against the bike, if you look at your new one you will see it in the base of the filter.
As Viney said you should only need to use the wrench for about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn then the rest by hand.
I don't mean to sound like I'm taking the pi** but have you drained the old oil out?

yeah I have drained the oil. And the chain wrench doesnt Tighten Enough around the Oil Filter, it digs in then startes going round the Oil filter, it doesnt loosen it. I am totally confused as mechanics is a Foreign Language me. and where is this seal, is it on the very end or the bottom?

I need it done now, unfortunately. My dad is supposed to be bringing some kind of tool home tonight after work, but I want this done as soon as possible. Once I get the oil filter off I am taking it to cassels to get the service finshed. I shouldnt have tried to do it myself

If it's just a case of getting the old filter off, you can jam a big (as big/sturdy as you've got) screwdriver through it and turn it off that way if needs be.

i.e. Stick the screwdriver through the side and back out the other to give you a handle to turn it round. The filter is only screwed on, but they can sometimes get tight that's all.

If it's just a basic service you're doing, i.e. Oil, Oil Filter & Spark plugs, you'll be Ok - don't panic, there's not really that much you can do wrong!

Don't worry about the seal it's already in the filter.
I found chain filter wrench's useless, all you need to do is find some way of gripping the filter then turning anti-clockwise (as your facing it on the bike), I think I borrowed a strap filter wrench in the end but anything to grip it and turn is all you need to do.
If the chain wrench is slipping try wrapping some duck tape around the filter a few times then see if the wrench fits better.
