What to declare on insurance?

I'm going to insure my SV soon, and the only things that are different are a

~Scorpion end can
~k&n air filter
~oil and rad covers
~fender extender
~rear hugger
~tail tidy
~seat cowl

I'm going to get either 3rd party or TPFT, what would I need to declare on the insurance policy?

Can you call your old insurer and ask, then not use them? I'd say better safe than sorry. Even though the insurance is almost certain to never get used, if you had a claim against you and these caused difficulties you'd be kicking yourself for being stingy.

They share info, admiral tried to cancel a policy on me when another insurance quote I'd got had different info about the car, it was a genuine mistake so all was well but don't know what would happen if you were being dodgy.

Didn't have half the stuff on there when it was insured last year. So I'd need to declare everything, even though the only things that would affect the bike's power slightly are the air filter and exhaust? And considering I'm not going to get comprehensive insurance?

Yep you do , every insurer's different but it does say 'any modification' needs to be declared. However you'll find most (but not all!) will say 'oh that's ok, as long as it's road legal and doesn't increase performance then it's fine' but I would only proceed once they've said that line and it's on tape - however you're probably going to have to discuss the exhaust and filter.
Some underwriters/insurers point blank say no power mods - some are fine about it. Yorkie chris declared some engine mods to his insurer and said he was pleasantly surprised, might be worth finding out who that was.

FWIW I declared *everything* on my SV last time I insured it and it made sod all difference. Was still only £105

That's different suspension, wheels, brakes, engine bored out, aftermarket bodywork, race exhaust, air filter etc etc etc.

The other side of the coin is if you don't tell they may refuse to pay out if they find out (even though it makes no difference to the performance) or cancel the policy. If you ever have a policy cancelled you have to declare that and *that* bumps up your policy (note that accidents etc are 3-5 years, they ask you if you have *ever* had a policy cancelled or extra terms imposed).

Always, always declare any kind of mods to them. Insurers like to worm their way outta paying up should you have an off n if you hadn't declared mods then I can guarentee they would kick up a stink about it. Seen it happen.

I didn't know there was a K&N air filter on the bike until I had it serviced and mechanic told me lol

i never botherd menchining k&n if u crash just change it quick to original,
