New Fazer FZ8... and it's well expensive!

Yamaha has just released the UK prices for the ‘budget’ Fazer8 and FZ8 and they are going to cost a wallet-melting £8799 for the half-faired bike and £7799 for the naked FZ8.

Ouch. They've gone back to a normal can down the side as opposed to having them under the seat, too.

Hells bells !! ... you could get a couple of nice used bikes for that !!

Hell no! I like my FZ6, but I sure wouldn't pay almost ten grand for one. It doesn't even look that different, apart from the can. What a shame, though, it'll just push people to Kawasakis and Suzukis.

Wonder if they'll drop them drastically like KTM have dropped the RC8. You can pick up a new 08 model for £8k.

Look at all the dealers lists and prices in publications and maker's websited.

Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, KTM, Trumpet all show prices, yamaha dont, you have to email them for a price list.

When mine arrived (3 or 4 days after i asked) i took one look and binned the idea of ever biuing a new yamaha....ever, they always seem to be 2 to 4k more expensive for the equivelent of any of the other big 6 manufacturers.

Totaly retarded imho, just pricing people out of buying new.

Fazer8? That one got missed by my radar. Is it an 800 then?

It will be expensive for the first year, whilst it is still the latest new thing and people want one, after that supply and demand will bring the price down.

Are they keeping the FZ6 or just dropping it? It's still a lot more powerful than the Diversion, so you'd think it would still have a middleweight place in the Yamaha range.

They seem to be goin a bit mad on all their prices... R1 for example, 12k?! I think the BMW will blow it out of the water!!!!

+1, the new BMW is a beautiful bike as as said before.....when you can get a new 08 RC8, one of the best looking bikes around (esp. in white) why would you get a new Yamaha?
