Swingarm Removal (what parts)
Hi guys, need to take my swingarm off for some lubing . . I have the swingarm tool but don't have my Haynes manual with me at the moment just wondering what parts I should replace when doing this, bearings and the like, so I can order them before starting the task
Also anyone know of a time scale and difficulty rating on this :S . . Thanks in advance . . Ant.!X |

Re: Swingarm Removal (what parts)
Why is it being removed? Is there a problem? All of the bearings are standard Suzuki parts - if any are needed they could be ordered before the swingarm is removed, you won't need to measure anything to know what parts you need.
If there's no play then there's no need to replace any bearings, check the seals carefully when you have it apart - if they fail the bearings will soon follow.

Re: Swingarm Removal (what parts)
Just thought it was about time to grease the swingarm . . the bikes been sat dry for a couple of years and I'm slowly doing it back up (being out of the country hasn't helped) . . one of the recommended things I thought was swingarm greasing?
Didn't seem to be any play so guessing the bearings are ok |

Re: Swingarm Removal (what parts)
If you're just going to grease the bearings then you don't need anything else, as you have the tool.
You'll be doing it a favour as Mr Suzuki didn't use any when he assembled it. Check the bearing once you've removed it. If you need to replace any, then you can get them from Wemoto All you'll need is a torque wrench to tighten the lock nuts up
