Default ek chains?

are they rubbish?

i've got one on my bike, its in good nick but having had "issues" (read snap in 5 places) with an iris chain i want something thats half decent expecially as ill be off up to scotland with it and i dont want to end up like dp was...

so scrap it off or keep it?

had one on my tzr, but that was a super small non o-ring job. didnt do that many miles on it either. so this post is useless.

did chains have served me well it was a ek that went on me in scotland

hmm i take it that was a well maintained ek chain?

had a read around the net and they seem to be quite well regarded as being a decent chain.

it didnt like big rocks smacking into it (no clutch cover)

Rocks or not that chain was ****ed dave!

Local bike shop which I trust recommended me either DID or EK in his personal choice. He's old school and has had bikes a long time, from what I've read on the internet I'll probably try a tsubaki next though.

DID is best, EK aren't bad, but avoid RK and Iris
