Default This'll raise a smile

A mate of mine who posts to a different place asked if there was an award for 'First F-wit of the Year'. This guy has an old Triumph Tiger that's been modified and stripped of everything heavy and un-needed which he hoons across Salisbury Plain whenever he can.

This is his post

"Cos I think I may have just won it. I haven't ridden RatTig for a
couple of years, so needed to do the usual pre-MOT check stuff & give
it a bit of a fettle for next week's Salisbury Plain trundle.

MOT stuff checked, & lumpy idle sorted (a missing plug on a vacuum
port), I decided to finally fit the new front sprocket I bought for it
yonks ago. That means draining the oil, so I ran it 'til the fan kicked
in, dropped the sump plug & left it draining while I went in search of
the new sprocket. Then I searched some more. Then I had a cuppa & fag
break before yet more searching. Bum. Oh well, it's only 12 quid for
another one.

As I'd drained the oil, I decided to take the old sprocket off anyway.
So I removed the crashbar, sidestand bracket, gear linkage, clutch
slave cylinder, & finally the sprocket cover...

Oh. That'll explain why I couldn't find the new sprocket then, & why
the oil was suspiciously clean. ****."

Made me laugh

That's because you're young and in possession of your faculties. The old guys all know EXACTLY what he did there.

MBK, the oil was clean, as in, recently replaced and the sprocket...

Nope, it's not worth it.

Tam,

I'm not old!
