Default Sprint ST fuel connector

Long story short, but I just helped a mate swap out the spark plugs on his (new to him) Sprint ST 955 and one of the fuel connectors snapped off (I barely touched it - honest ).
As far as I can tell, this ought to have been replaced under recall, but it looks like a previous owner didn't bother.
The local dealer wants to replace the whole fuel plate assembly, but surely the part is available separately?

The top connector is the one that is bust

Is that number 7 (part PFKL1199484) on this fiche?

Thanks in advance for advice and general mocking

Yes Part no. 7 looks like it. You can get them on there own as I did when I broke mine on a T595. Got from my local dealer Carl Rosner. Have a look on www.t595.net as there are alternatives made from metal which are much better. the recall only changed the connector on the actual fuel pipe for metal ones. The tank sockets were never part of it. Hope that helps?

Likewise with my Sprint, they tend to get brittle and break after a bit of time, inherent fault hence the recall. Being honest it took seven years before I had the problem but I replaced both---like for like for about a £10. A good bike service garage will have them as a stock item as the same fitting is used on several bikes

My error I thought it was the white plastic bit on the actual fuel line that had broken,as normally happens, not the female that it goes into

Thanks guys.
Turns out the guy my mate bought it off had a second tank sat around, so he's bought that. Will probably get a new female connector to fix the current tank and recoup costs.
