Default ZX10R 06/07 Rear Shock.

Oops! Noticed i mis-spelt shock! Can a mod change it please?

For sale is my 2007 ZX10R rear shock complete with the lower bolt, nut and washers to fit directly to a Sv650 without having to cut the battery tray. You re-use your top bolt as its the same fitting.
Shock has done around 250 miles since new and is in excellent/almost new condition, being taken off shortly after purchase of the ZX10R in '07, and then i've done about 100 miles with it on my 2011 Sv650 before being removed as i traded the bike in.
Preload has been set to give correct static sag for my weight(13stone), compression and rebound was set to that of the SVrider recommended setting so is ready to fit.
Here's a link to SVrider which explains a step by step fitment and settings for it.

I'm looking for £100 posted, which will be Parcelforce Express 48hr, thats tracked and covered up to £100.

Please PM me if interested,

I've reduced the photos to 30% size and seems the thread looks iffy but its not!

Here's a close up of those threads!

And a pic of it fitted to my SV650

How much of a difference did the ZX10R shock make to the SV?

I'm interested as i'm thinking of upgrading the suspension on my SV so I've been looking at shocks and then either new fork springs or emulators for the front. Just need to do some research (and check funds) over the weekend between work shifts.

I did emulators in the front of mine first with thicker oil etc and it made so much difference it highlighted how poor/bouncy the rear was straight away on the first ride(bike was new btw), when i fitted the rear shock it then made the whole bike feel better and nicely balanced so i'd say it made as much difference to handling as uprating the front did. They compliment each other basically!

Got a couple of things going on eBay at the moment, and if I get what I'm after for those I'll take this off your hands.

Is this shock a limited edition version or similar? Most 06/07 zx10r shocks I've come across (I've had two) have gold reservoir and red spring as below.

For anyone interested I'd highly recommend this as a good upgrade over the standard shock. This looks like a nice clean example and they're good bang for your buck. Easy to fit too

I think they vary as same year shocks can have a black body(mine), gold body, bronze body, and same with the spring, red, yellow or silver. Only the 06-07 shocks will bolt straight on without modding the battery tray as the reservoir is offset 90 degrees whereas all other years are at an angle.

And yes it's very clean!

Afraid so, it is a beaut' of a shock, i'll kick myself if i ever get another sv cos i won't find one as good as this one again.
Keep an eye out for another James, they're one of the easiest and best bolt on upgrades i did to mine.
