Default filtering cyclist

did anyone else see the cyclist tonight on the A40 filtering between lanes 2 & 3...
to be fair he was going some and didn't really hold me up at all. he joined at hanger lane at 6.30pm ish and came off just after the tesco's

can't decide if he's brave or simply mad.

nope missed that - he / she would be better off filtering between lanes 1 & 2 surely. Asking for trouble between 2 & 3.

Are you an A40 regular?

yeah every day.
uxbrdige to paddington... 8.30ish on the way in and 6.30ish on the way home.

this guy was unbelievable. on a racer with just a flashing led light, he started in 1-2 and then cut across 2 -3.
eventually looked like he got some behind a big tourer and decided to go on the pavement

what the most annoying thing on the a40...
1. the guys on the tourers with massive panniers or
2. the oxford tube buses

any other suggestions.

i think 'impatient' is a fairer description....

actually you see some of the guys on the tourers glide throuhg the traffic and i struggle to keep up.... so i was a bit unfair painting them all with the same brush. A good honest bit of generalisation.

I've seen more than a few goldwings keep up with the rest of the filterers.
Of course, I tend to let most of the experienced filterers past, and I'm not entirely inexperienced, just not in so much of a hurry.
