Default UPDATED: Should I be worried?

Travelling down the M20 towards Maidstone this morning, having just dropped Helen off at Luton for her week of alchohol tasting and warmth testing in Barcelona.... I guess I was doing about 90-something in the fast lane, approaching a bridge over the motorway.

On bridge, is parked a van, with it's side door open. The van is parked over the fastlane of the oncoming traffic.... I guess I slowed down to maybe a little less than 90-something (but still 80-90 something) only to realise that it was in fact a mobile camera van (surprise surprise!).

Now... should I be worried? It had what looked like a gatso inside, and there were no flashes. and it appeared to be very much on the oncoming traffic side's of the road.

They'll most likely be getting the front plates of cars Bill. I doubt he had an accomplice just for noting bike plates. It'll be ok

if you think you were 80-90 because of the speedo then you'll probably just about safe, as most wont fine anyone up to a real 80-mph, so reading around 85-90 on the speedo. Don't worry about it

They may not have been looking at speed - some of those vans sit there with online number plate recognition technology, looking for cars with not Tax or Insurance - with a traffic car ready to intercept.

It all depends really....if you were in that lane doing that speed with no cars close behind or infront it will most likely have got you....but if the flow in the 3rd lane was along that speed u are prob safe.

Good luck and hope you are in the clear

More likely on a dual carriage way than a motorway for that as it is safer
