Paranoia

Hi Guys

Just fitted a Scorpion Can to my '05 SV and it's sounds fantastic. However since fitting (and I'm sure it's just me imagining it) i seem to be hearing some noises from the engine that I do not remember being there before.

Basically I know that the engine produces it's fair share of ticking noises, however this occasionally seems to change to almost a slapping noise at low rpms's when the engine is under load. Do they all do this or should I be worried? I'm sure I think it's louder than in really is.

The bike's fueling hasn't been altered yet as from reading various topics this should not need to be done. Would the can cause to bike to run lean and is this "slapping" a symptom?

I had a similiar noise and it was the cam chain tensioner... but no doubt a more experienced person will answer with what it could be...

Shouldnt be any other noises (other than the new cans noise of course) except sometimes a very faint ticking noise which i think people have said is from the exhaust joints, mine does this with the scorpion.. where a bit of air may be escaping. Dont worry you don't have to change mapping etc unless you doing further mods such as air filter etc
