Default K3 missed some servicing

Hi,

my K3 that I have just bought has missed 2 services. The bike has just done 2000 miles, but has only had 1 service at 700 miles. According to the book, its supposed to have a service every 6 months.

Could any damage have been done due to not following the service intervals? Or is it OK as its only on 2k miles?

Should I book it in for a service asap or wait 'till 4k?

Cheers guys, help appreciated

narr, ya next service is @ 4000 miles, all they do is the oil and maybe the filter (doesn't need it though), and maybe tourque check nut's and bolt. and a visual inspection.

don't worry, why over service a bike if it hasn't done the mileage.

It should be serviced regularly, whatever the mileage, the oil for instance degrades over time as well as use.

However, as long as it's not been abused and there hasn't been several years between services with crappy old oil sitting in it, there's no need for paranoia, give it an oil change and a thorough check over, it's very unlikley that anything will be amiss.

Oil is the cheapest tool you will ever buy.

Regular changes cannot do anything but good, you cannot change oil too often.
