Lay that baby down!

Well I was coming into work this morning and some other bike had parked so I had to go real slow to park my bike and yes...

I felt it lean too far. Held on and being pretty big managed to lay it to rest without much motion. Not even a scratch.. Only thing that happened was my bike mirror touched the floor and moved in

But close call. And the thing is it was the same side as I have a damaged indicator and Kevin Harte kindly donated another (which came this morning BTW) so glad I didnt pop it on this morning as I was on lates and nearly did. So no damage done the indicator just bent over but it flexed back... (And I am popping the new one on tonight anyway)

Moral of the story - when turning at almost no speed make sure you are holding on tight! No harm done!

Phew, reading the title I thought it was going to be worse!

Yeah the pride did get a shot... Thankfully I was on lates so I got in at 10am instead so there was nobody there.. It is busy at 8am or 9am when I normally come in so there is that! :P

Okay so it now gets worse.... Riding home from manchester last night.

Pouring with rain and 11pm at night on the M62. My bike starts to play up again. (every now and again when the rain is really bad one side of the v twin seems to stop working (probably just wet sparks) and so i loose power. Easily solved.. Just pull up in a service station and let the bike just run clean and dry. 5 minutes max) Anyway I stopped sorted it out and got back on the road. I hate it when it does it (only the second time it has done it) so anyway I then start up and get back to speed.. Look down at the speedo and see my temp shoot up to 94 and normally it is between 80 and 90. So I cool it off and idle at 50mph. it gets hotter and hotter and wont drop. Going up by sort of .1 of a degree every second or so. but never seems to get cooler. So I get off the motorway and stand at the side of the road checking i havent knocked the rad fan electrics or anything.. check the bike over and it is still at about 96.4degrees.

So I turn the engine off and stand in the rain for 5 minutes and then turn the bike back on and it hasnt cooled at all.. the fans are not running and the bike is fine.. no oil or anything spilling.... so I am just about to call out RAC when I sit on the bike and the temp is 65 and the mileage is 96.4

Man I need to sleep some more.. that is like the most stupid thing in the world. I stood in the rain for 5 minutes in the dark because i am so stupid.

Think the mis fire just spooked me and I had been at work since 8:30am and then gone to manchester. Man if my buddies find out I will never live it down!

I know That Feeling, It happened to me when I noticed the temp was 108... and rising... you kind of get a oh **** feeling and then when you relise that you made a mistake you have a little sigh and proceed to call yourself a few silly names
( but not out loud )

Yeah it doesnt help that they are sort of right next to each other on the laout either.. I was absolutely kicking myself.

Anyway yet another late night and early morning.. Wife come back from her business trip at 12:45am and needs picking up and then up early to setup a sound system at 8:30.....
