Default Scar Tissue

So I came off my bike a couple of months ago and cut up my knee. It eventualy healed over but there is now a raised purple lump about the size of a 10p where the deepest part of the cut was and the skin covering it looks very thin, like any knock would open it up.

Anyone had this with cuts before and have any advice?

Get some Bio oil from the chemist, it works well for surgery scars. Not so sure about accident scars, it wasn't around when I was being put back together. I used rice tissue oil to help the skin to heal. Scars do fade over the months after, time heals all wounds.
Apart from that exercise and a daily dose of Vit C.

That sounds like a normal, relatively fresh scar.
All but a couple of my scars are very faint now, and most were like that for about a year.

yes you can but it will be more painful and most tattoists will ask how old the scar is to make sure that it isnt recent and that it has settled down as much as it is going to prior to tattoing over it.

Thanks for the advice all, I'll give that E45 cream a go. I think it might just do the trick as I've had very positive experiences rubbing hand lotion on large lumps of swollen purple flesh in the past.
