Default Chinese Democracy - first sounds - in a Harley Ad . . .

Well after years of troubled gestation the band Axl Rose likes to refer to as "Guns 'n Roses" has finally thrown some studio Chinese Democracy track sounds to the general public. I should add that Harley have since pulled this advert and used "Paradise City" as the music. Says enough there I'd wager.
Video can be seen on Googleho' YouTube:

HD at last admits that their customers are all sheep.
Did you notice, no matter what the advert is trying to imply, they all still followed each other.

Yup

Even the black sheep of the families follow other black sheep

Now, if they where yellow sheep, they'd all be super-cool, just like owners of Yellow SV's, and take orders from no-one but themselves (and their nagging girlfreind/wife)

Hey, mock The Axl Show if you want, but the one good new song, Madagascar, is absolutely stunning. If that's the only good thing that comes out of the new album, I'll still be happy.

But, here's some numbers and facts about the "proper" lineup

The original lineup was Tracii, Axl, Izzy Stradlin, Ole Beich, and Rob Gardner. Notice who's missing there? Only Axl and Izzy made it out of '85, and only Axl made it as far as the release of Use Your Illusion 1 & 2- do I remember people saying about how it was the Axl show in '91? Not so much. But he was the only founding member then.

Slash was in the band for 12 years. Izzy for 6. Duff was actually in for 13 years, but nobody cares about poor old Duff. Nobody was that bothered when Matt Sorum left either. Izzy wrote more material than Slash, but again, when he left nobody was too bothered.

Dizzy joined in '90 or '91, I forget. He's still in now, 2006, so he's been in the band longer than anyone bar Axl ever has including Slash.
Tommy Stinson joined in '98, so he's been in 2 years longer than Izzy.
Brian Mantia's been in since 2000, so as long as Izzy.
Robin Finck's been in since '98 as well.
And Izzy Stradlin's been playing live with the band on the current tour.

So... Today's G'n'R lineup is the most stable one ever. It's also the one that has the most long-serving members ever, and has more original members involved in it than they did when touring Use Your Illusion. It has as many original members as it did when they released Appetite! And Dizzy's been in the band longer than Slash was. Tommy Stinson, Robin Finck and Chris Pitman have all been in as long as any member bar Slash, Axl and Dizzy.

And probably the worst sounding too...

Only kidding, and I may be way out of line here because I haven't heard UYI in a long time, but from my recollections that was the best sounding lineup they had. Hmm... seems like I'll have to dig those two CDs out again.

And fwiw, I don't like Slash.

*ducks*
