Default Visual Studio 2005 Settings

Hmm. Feel stupid asking this but...

It seems that the first time I started VS 2005 I choose the wrong profile (C#, should have been Web Developer) As such it's a nightmare to start a new web project.

I've searched through the options but can't see where I can reset this. Anyone else know?

TIA

Stu

If you've got the discs, then reinstall - or google!

hmmm Not as simple as you would think, I code in c# so that is my default for visual studio. But when you then create a new project, the languages list of course c# as the default, but basic, j# and c++. I wonder how you get web back as it is listed on the startup as installed.

thought I cracked it and selected new web site, but that is for aspx, so simply opened a web folder and it seems to understan html offering a design and source view

Yes, you can create any project language you want (Create new web site and select C# as the language). Just more menu clicks than I like to do (Call me lazy if you want )

Don't think I can be bothered to reinstall if it's not possible to do without... It works, just annoying - y'know?

As for the VI comment... Real programmers punch cards :P

No we fill in coding sheets, we are programmers, not typists. Let some clerical oik do the keyboard type work. If they do their job right, I get a print out showing a successful compile. Otherwise I get a print out where I have to correct with a highlighting pen the keyboard operators inability to type what was written.

Punch cards is cheating, you can always slip a few new ones mid pile to patch your code. The fun is splicing into paper tape.
