Default no spark,no AR for HOVIS

got as far as newport, thats about 8 mile

been packing all afternoon, left about 5.20 stopped for fuel, then met VB at the taffia pub, turned my bike off while VB put waterproffs on went to start bike, & she did not want to play, turning over but wont start
so... i unpack every thing to get to my tools after 5 mins she started, so i turned her off , tryed again she started, happy days, so pack everything back up, helmet on, she wont start............. so after about an hour of fettling in the rain i gave up called a mate with a trailer, & went in the pub

put it in my garage, & it started 1st time

going to get it looked at tomorrow, as i dare'nt risk it happening on the way up

thanks VB for sticking around (i wont tell you what stretchie said)

Check your wiring loom on the sub frame! If it doesn't go come in the car!

Sounds like you had what I've been upto this week, which is the signal generator fail. You need to test as follows -

With a multi-meter set to voltage connect the negative test probe to the white/blue terminal that plugs into the CDI and the positive to the green terminal. Start the engine and turn it over for a few second, it produces less then 3volts then there is something wrong. Mine only produced .03 volts, now I've swapped it, its fine.

Hovis

You disappoint me. I thought you were all man. Grinch starts wavering. Scared that you might not have a shave for your date and leave a rash. suddenly he has 2 pints of shandy and is man enough to say bring it on big boy. or other words like my dribble is insignificant so I have no excuse etc. and you go running off with imaginary bike faults. I knew you were wavering with a tyre that was reputed to but wouldnt publicly go down on you. but to now have a custard tart that you can't warm up. shame on you.

I thought you were the pusher. Now I have to reconsider

Annual Rideout - it's what everyone's been jabberin' on about for the last year, roughly.

Coincidently Hovis was following me last night at about 5.40pm, he seemed to be going well, he turned off to wait for VB.

On my return home (8.30 ish) I close on a yellow bike on a trailer, "It can't be H he's on the way north"

I pass it's a fully faired curvey SV, with lots of luggage, The passenger is Mr Hovis, now it may have been a trick of the light, but it sure looked like tears to me.
